Proposed Appointment of Director for Invest Gold Coast Pty Ltd

It is recommended that Council resolves as follows: 1 That the report/attachments be deemed confidential and be treated as such in accordance with sections 171 and 200 of the Local Government Act 2009 and that the report/attachments remain confidential unless the Chief Executive Officer decides otherwise. 2 That in accordance with Article 9 of Invest Gold Coast’s Constitution and subject to consenting to appointment to the Board of Invest Gold Coast Pty Ltd in accordance with section 201D of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), that Council appoints the recommended candidate identified in section 5.5 of this report to the Board of Invest Gold Coast Pty Ltd and on the terms outlined in this report. 3 That the Ex-Officio Director positions 7 and 8 in the table on page 45 be renamed as Mayor and Chief Executive Officer.
