It is recommended that Council resolves as follows: 1 That the report/attachments be deemed confidential and be treated as such in accordance with sections 171 and 200 of the Local Government Act 2009 and that the report/attachments remain confidential unless the Chief Executive Officer decides otherwise. 2 That Council notes the findings of the preliminary strategic assessment report, technical report and community engagement report – March 2026. 3 That Council approves shortlisted corridor options A, B and C for further assessment. 4 That Council notes the approach to community and First Nations engagement. 5 That a report be presented to Council in December 2026 outlining the findings of the strategic assessment.
